Position Overview:
The Remote Fundraising and Business Development Officer Internship with My Voice International offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the non-profit sector while contributing to the organization's fundraising and business development efforts. As an intern, you will remotely support our team in implementing fundraising strategies, identifying potential donors and partners, and assisting in the development of sustainable funding streams. This internship will provide you with insight into the world of fundraising, business development, and sustainable development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in researching potential funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships aligned with My Voice International's mission and programs.
• Support the development of compelling grant proposals, business proposals, and donor presentations.
• Collaborate with the Fundraising and Development Department to draft fundraising materials, including appeal letters, newsletters, and social media content.
• Conduct prospect research to identify potential individual, corporate, and institutional donors.
• Assist in maintaining the donor and partner database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Contribute to the planning and coordination of fundraising events or campaigns.
• Help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated on fundraising trends, best practices, and the non-profit sector to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant academic program, such as Business, Non-profit Management, Fundraising, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
• Excellent research and analytical skills to identify potential funding opportunities and partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online research tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Duration and Time Commitment:

Your creative skills and passion for videography will help us raise awareness about our work and engage our supporters through compelling visual storytelling. This volunteer position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of empowering vulnerable individuals and communities in Kenya.

Responsibilities:

• Film and capture high-quality video footage of My Voice International's programs, events, and activities.
• Edit and create engaging video content that aligns with the organization's branding and messaging.
• Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Department to understand video requirements and objectives.
• Assist in developing video concepts, storyboards, and scripts for various projects.
• Conduct interviews and capture testimonials of beneficiaries, volunteers, and staff members.
• Ensure proper lighting, sound, and framing for each video shoot to maintain high production quality.
• Select and incorporate appropriate music, graphics, and effects to enhance the visual appeal of videos.
• Organize and maintain a video library/database for easy retrieval and reference.
• Stay updated on current videography trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously improve the quality of video production.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
• Experience in shooting and editing high-quality videos, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and camera techniques.
• Knowledge of video formats, resolutions, and best practices for online platforms and social media.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking direction and feedback from the Communications and Marketing Department.
